Incorporating the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, it is the largest tertiary paediatric Hospital in the Southern Hemisphere and provides a major paediatric teaching centre in association with Melbourne University.

RCH1000, established in Sept 2001, is a unique supporter group focused on raising funds for research at the Royal Children's Hospital and the Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
